The caller said she thinks there's a bee colony in a street tree, and is concerned about the city trimming the tree next week. She says the tree is blooming, so I think it's just foragers.She says the foliage is dense, so she can't see where the colony is. She hears them.
She doesn't think there's a colony in the trunk. My gut says it's just foragers. If you live near 606 Haight Avenue, Alameda,and feel like a stroll by to check it out, please do have a look (and tell us what you see)
