There are infra-red cameras,
and there are devices you can plug into your phone to make it an infra-red camera.
My spouse got me an "Infisense Technology P2 Pro"
Like a couple of other brands, it depends on an App you download onto your phone
the sensor part is about 1 inch square by half an inch thick.
I need to take the phone out of the protective case in order to plug it all the way into the phone.
I have taken picture of hives with it. It clearly shows the warm spots,
and the benefit of insulating the top of the hive to reduce heat loss in winter.
The app tags locations on the image with the temperature for reference.
Read reviews. Good luck

The bees are either snooping around some gaps at the top of the windows, or
already moved in. An assessment is needed. Is there a hot-spot
inside? Are they bringing in pollen?
