    "Tanging" referred to banging a pot with a spoon to get a swarm to
    drop out of the air. 
    I haven't heard of it being used to coax a swarm out of high up in a
    tree.  Besides, those bees huddled there are all cooled-down to
    below flight temperature.
    They get warmed up when the Scout bees do buzz-runs through the
    hanging cluster.  (I can see why this wouldn't work well for a swarm
    on the ground).
    
    Michael Bush suggests a swarm trap box placed up-wind. 
    
    Some of them get away in every season because they don't have the
    sense to pick a low perch where they can be relocated from.  Alas. 
    Someone should tell them to shape up.

Yeah… that is high.  You could do it with an extension ladder.  Or an 8 foot ladder and a long pole and bucket.  But anyway you look at it, this is a challenge.  Not impossible, but not an easy one.

This is almost certainly the same one I tried and failed to get last evening (if it's on Hillegass). It's actually higher than 25', and unlikely to be gettable unless someone has a bucket truck, or a very long pole/bucket setup:

I told the original caller it was best to just wait for them to move on, and let us know if they settled somewhere closer to the ground.
