Of the 466 calls so far, 210 were swarm calls - - - Who still doesn't have bees? and Why?? work hours? can't travel? no skills?

Let us volunteers know,
and your fellow swarm list users who might be able to hook you up with a swarm that doesn't find its way to the swarm list.

Now is a good time for splitting.
If you're splitting, how about giving/lending a split to someone who doesn't have bees.
Pay it forward.     Or maybe make a deal to back each other up.

Why would you split now? To head off swarming, or to knock down a potential honey-crop if
you already have too much honey already.

If traveling, do a Vacation split on any hive that might swarm while you're away from home.
The split could be a give-away if you think you'll have too many colonies.

Keep those swarm traps set up.  I've had 5 hits this season!!
Swarms I didn't have to chase.

IF you DON'T have bees yet, there is a good chance you can coax bees into your
own swarm trap.
If you don't have bees and have the gear to make several traps, deploy
some at the homes of willing friends.  Bring them home when you get a hit.
It's also good for the club and beekeepers in general if we lure swarms to our traps.
Drama in the neighborhood is reduced.
The bees have a better chance for making it to next year than left to their own house-hunting.
