The home owner,, Yas, says that according to the city, he's responsible for getting
the fallen 8" diameter tree limb out of the creek bed. The problem is that it's hollow and has bees still tending it. Call (925) 548 7443 if you want to get a look and offer to help.I suggested he supply bug-hats for the tree cutters/arborists who would be taking out the limb.
Even after cutting away the easy stuff from the limb, the limb that's left, with the bees in it
may be too heavy to drag up out of the creek bed.A block and tackle or a "come-along" may be needed to pull it up above the flood line.
With effort, cutting could be done with a bow-saw, but perhaps faster with a chainsaw.
Anyone interested in helping out, please call Yas.If you know a tree cutter who isn't intimidated by bees, please pass along the contact info to Yas.
thanks jerry
