The bottom of the railroad overpass is probably 18 to 20 feet up.
The colony is nearly above the center line of the thoroughfare (not a residential street).
(Not a good place to block traffic)

At this time, for many reasons, it seems to be hopeless.
Some of them get away.
They are somewhat sheltered, and look strong, so they should be able to deal with winter on their own. imo
