I'm on the lookout for a good-sized swarm close enough to me (West Oakland) to be unlikely to move on before I get there, and not very high off the ground (I don't have a bucket/pole set up and am pretty short).

I have two hives, but both had slow springs and then replaced their queens in April/May, and have been growing pretty slowly since. I'm happy with two hives, but would like a third this year because I'm anticipating needing to combine two at the end of fall.

• not quick enough to claim after a swarm is posted [YES ]

• lack of experience [ NO]

• out of reach [ YES]

• lack of transportation [NO ]

Several of our members have been generously passing along swarms they've
collected.
Thank you very much for paying it forward.
