Truth is we will never catch every swarm.  Our guidelines are safety first.  No swarm is worth going out on a limb 30-35 ft high or stopping traffic on a major street.  That is not expected or encouraged.  Responders want to rescue and that is admirable, but sometimes we just need  to say “good luck girls!”

I have a bait hive a few blocks from there that’s getting traffic. Maybe around 50-75 bees going in/out. They likely are moving in. If someone can actually catch the swarm that would probably be better for the surrounding community, but I may get lucky. Sorry I can’t help collect, I don’t own a pole.

I attempted to catch this swarm but it's much higher than I anticipated. Probably closer to 30-35 ft up. You will also need to be able to stop traffic on McArthur Blvd because the branch sticks out over the busy street. It will be a tricky catch so I'm going to pass it along to the next person who might be better equipped. Hope you all are having a beautiful spring day!

Noah called to report a swarm just landing in a street maple tree near the freeway that he saw as he was passing by. Sounds like they're pretty high up there, maybe a little over 20 ft? Anyone with a pole and bucket or a cherry picker interested?
