I'd say your luck was exceptional, but good-for-you!
(We had a swarm move into a trap a couple of weeks ago, and are getting more scouting at other boxes. A good year is 3 to 5 in our neighborhood)
imo worth the trouble.
imo a good deed done for the neighborhood by luring in swarms that might otherwise cause drama in streets and non-beekeeper yards.
