Well, that's a bit annoying.  
It happens from time to time. 
In the end, it's the home-owner's call.  
At least you didn't discover the switcheroo after arriving at the address.  
They caller  may have made multiple calls to friends, neighbors, acquaintances, possibly with a per-existing relationship before calling the hotline,
and in the mean time one of those other calls made contact. 

This season seems to be rolling out slowly.  There will be more swarms.
