Well, now I've sent this to everyone. Oh well, happy new year from me being a dork. 😂On Jan 3, 2026, at 5:20 PM, Robert L Mathews via swarm-list <swarm-list [at] alamedabees.org> wrote:Ugh, I guess I should've mentioned this to you too, but I asked Andre not to send out reminders to renew the membership yet while I work on the form today and tomorrow. Oh well; it's OK but the format of the messages you get might change over the next couple of days...On Jan 3, 2026, at 3:53 PM, Gerald Przybylski via swarm-list <swarm-list [at] alamedabees.org> wrote:Hi all,
To remain on the Swarm-List,
if you haven't already, DO Renew your ACBA Membership. - Still only $10 (Cheap)

Definitely do it before April 1 to save the admin the chore of weeding you out of the subscriber list.
We're Looking for another Volunteer to answer swarm calls:
Hey, if you love saving the bees, and have free time this spring, handling swarm calls is a good way to do it.
It's actually kinda fun!
It's fulfilling to hook up callers with swarm collectors. i.e. it's a great example of community-service.
It may seem daunting, but the rest of the volunteers came up to speed pretty quickly.
This job suits members who have more freedom during the day than full-time workers have.
part-time, flex schedule, student, retired, etc.
If you're interested in finding out what's involved, contact me off line. five ten - for oh seven - ll46
From mid March, through April, most of the calls are vanilla. If you've collected a couple of swarms
you'll pretty much know how to handle a call.
There's plenty of back-up from the experienced volunteers too.
