It appears that bumblebees are moving into a bird house in fremont on Pueblo Tce - a condo balcony
Virginia, (650) 218-8897

The chickadee nesting box has a removable back.
The bees are probably building on the nest material in the box.
Bumblebees that can have their nest relocated in tact have a good chance of making it to the end of their brood cycle.

So when it's cool at night and the bumbles are sluggish, the nest inside can be that bird-house
can be moved into another suitable box.

Negotiate with Virginia as to whether the bumbles stay on her balcony or relocate to Your yard.

If she finds another house the chickadees can use, she may just let the bumblebees stay.

Anyway, she feels a little lost. Could benefit by some support.
Would you like to get involved?
If you want to take this on, please reply to the email so everyone knows you're on it.

Bumblebees are really cute.
They're fantastic pollinators, especially for flowers that require buzz-pollination, like tomatoes. They build up a colony for weeks or months, then produce queens to go out and hide out in the environment until next year when they restart the cycle.   They don't make permanent nests like honey bees do.

There was a bumblebee program on our acba web site in the member's tab.
It might be of some help deciding on whether to take this on.
