Hey George and all, that would be wonderful! I really love my Warre hives. They have bounced back from extractions at twice the speed of bees in my Langstroth. They also tend to have lower rates of mites.
The issues I’m having is with understanding how to prevent them from expanding too quickly, how to perform a superficial swarm or split the hives.
I could really just use the mutual support of a group that is figuring these sorts of things out and I deeply appreciate any interest and help.
Thank you Gerry for your help connecting us.

Hey Jerry!I understand the fundamentals of Warre. It's a pretty simple method of beekeeping. It has some messed up drawbacks. You need a strong back or patience. I'd be happy to share my knowledge with this person.GeorgeOn Sunday, July 6, 2025 at 11:12:27 PM PDT, Gerald Przybylski via swarm-list <swarm-list [at] alamedabees.org> wrote:
there were a few beekeepers in the roster who indicated they have or did have Warré gear,
but didn't respond. Timid? Can't be bothered? At sea themselves?
Nobody contributed a good Warré knowledge source either.
Perhaps the four of you can work together and exchange ideas.
You're welcome to ask me questions but you'll get the perspective of a keeper of Langstroth gear.

A beekeeper using Warré equipment emailed me about feeling somewhat
adrift, and wants to get better.
I don't know enough about the equipment and style to give good bay-area
relevant advice.
do you have an interest in banding together to share Warré management
strategy/tips/advice?
or in need of it?
If you do, email me back and i'll hook you all up over email
If there's a really good web resource, please share
thanks,
