I have a weak colony that came from a swarm trap. Very slow to build out comb, and fairly unproductive Queen. I would love a colony to combine with it.
Thanks

Hi Gary,
We've had a LOT of calls from San Ramon to the Swarm-Hotline.
If you are available to collect swarms, or perhaps to do cut-outs, there are bees to be found
in your area.
Rob discovered an application that can monitor an email account, and forward text messages
to you whenever either a swarm or extraction in San Ramon is posted. 39 so far this year.
Also greater numbers in Danville and Rodeo than past years.
The swarm season is winding down, but I'm expecting another 50 to 75 during the next month.
Some of those will be within your reach.
The likely success of a swarm trap is declining now. Probably done by August.

Hello Claire,Thanks for the nice gesture. I'm just seeing your note now, so bees probably long taken by now, But if not, my son & I would be interested. We've lost all of our hives over the past few years and would like to restart. I'm in Oakland and David lives in San Ramon.
Thanks,gary

I am doing an extraction tomorrow and am getting full at my home. If someone would like, I will collect the colony and brood comb and put them in your hive.Caveat is you will need to provide the Hive and deliver it to my house tonight (I’m in west Oakland). I will bring it to you tomorrow as long as you are in the Oakland area or Dublin. Please email me personally so we don’t clog up the swarm list lussier.claire [at] gmail.com
