Jeff that is dirt cheap.
Having worked basically all my life but the last ten years for weathiest people , they are very far from being thr smartest one .
Want to get the job , charge $1500 , show up with a tablet or laptop , they love those .
Then have some full size folder in black . Check if you can find someone to print Bess Rescue with your name and phone number , hand them over to them with along the negativbe effect if using pprsticide and their term effect rot and the like , which by then will run in the multiples thousand .
I made such offet to a neighbor they called the pest control , few years later after termite inpection they had to tear the siding …
And yes they said please don’t talk about it !

Hey — just a little more intel on this job (I consulted)  thermal gun and exterior inspection suggested there are two colonies, one large, both in an elevated turret at the top of stairs.

Quoted $600 per a single removal for drywall, and updated to $900 for the two when on-site. (Candidly in hindsight that was low).

During a check in before the scheduled removal the wife seemed unfamiliar with the second colony issue and suggested that the $900 price was “flim-flammy.” She apologized after I said I was canceling the job, but that’s a red line for me.

House is worth north of $3M. I think they know they screwed up so should be a lucrative job for somebody.

They know where the bees are.
There's a landing at the top of the stairs.  Drywall on the wall.
