Re: WHO Doesn't Have Bees, and wants them? What cities are you in? What prevents you from chasing swarms?

I have not been checking my email often and I see I’m coming in late to this thread. I’m in Oakland near the San Leandro border. After a summer long battle, we lost our hive to verroa last fall. I have just started a new Nuc but would like to have a second hive and am hoping to be able to collect a swarm at some point this spring. I second the suggestion for a texting option for swarm assignments for folks who don’t check email often.

Thank you for all you do!

Hi. I'm in Fremont. I have one full hive and one empty hive (set up as a bait hive, but no takers yet). I'd like to fill the second hive. I don't chase swarms because I don't really know how, I'm chicken, and my schedule is erratic.

We'd like to get an idea of how well the swarms are getting to where
they need to be.
