After speaking with Jo, the caller, I learned they are in the 2 nd floor so not easy to look in vent!  Ladder is needed.  However it appears they have attracted a swarm into their dryer vent hose and the bees are coming through the vent into their laundry room.  She estimates 50-100 bees now in laundry room .  They have closed the door and stuck a towel under door to prevent bees from going into the house.
