We have no objection to members of the swarm list posting swarms on
it. Less work for the volunteers.
We ask that they generally follow the script of posting, and passing the info to only one person.
Mike is not one of the volunteers, so he gets the last word.
Once a volunteer pass the information to the person who made the claim, we're done.
The person who makes the claim can catch the swarm and hand it off to a friend. We just ask that nobody tries to make a business of selling swarms. That's unfair.

Mike emailed my privately off list and said the claim must go to jeff. My response time was within 2 minutes of posting. It would be much more fair if (as mentioned by others in previous threads) people who have already gotten a swarm wait at least 5-10 minutes. Is there any way a swarm list moderator could call me next swarm before it gets posted? I freed up today and tomorrow to catch a swarm and am ready to go asap

As I mentioned, if you don’t have bees you can have it.

One of my hives has swarmed, I don't have room for it. Anyone want it? 6 ft up in my lemon tree
I’d happily take unless someone without bees gets back to you in short order! 10 minutes off.
