I have tomorrow off and happy to give it a try. But that would be my first swarm to grab. So not sure if I have enough experience for this.

This swarm is a stubborn one. They would not stay in the nuc. They had plenty of encouragement and opportunity (brood frames, lemongrass oil, smoke, pretty please, get in there dammit!)

The queen was elusive.  Lots of places for her to hide.

I was tempted to leave the nuc, but I don’t think it would do any good. Someone with more bee charm should be able to get it. It’s accessible enough, just very choosy. And a little spicy (I took two for the team).

It’s a fairly large swarm, which wasn’t apparent at a first glance.

They’re in a sheltered spot, and should be good for the night. If someone wants to have at it this evening, by all means, but getting here early enough tomorrow should be fine.

Next!

Fairly small swarm at ground level at the base of a bush.   Ideally, would be best suited for a bee vac but you may be able to scoop it.
I live near Hwy 13 and Lincoln.
