It was even easier than that. I just placed a nuc next to the downspout, sprayed a squirt of Fischer's Bee-Quick at the top where it meets the gutter, tapped on the downspout and they all marched into the nuc within a few min.
It was a smaller swarm. A few drown bees inside the gutter too (hopefully the queen wasn't one of those). Turns out the swarm was on the neighbor's car and she drove off with it at 90 mph and I'm guessing what I collected was the smaller portion that returned to the original swarm site.
Cool family though. They stood about 15 feet away and watched me work.
