Hi Eric, Mimi, Joshua,
I see there was some confusion as to which Livermore swarm was which, and where they were.
It appears that one of the calls didn't come through a swarm-line volunteers.
Thank you sorting out the confusion between yourselves.
This situation had the potential to go off the rails.
The swarm-list is designed to minimize beekeepers piling up on the same swarm, and poaching.
• It IS possible that different volunteers fielding different calls can each post an alert for the
same swarm. We volunteers may not immediately catch it ourselves.
When it results in two beeks showing up we apologize.
Sometimes things get really busy and the log spreadsheet updates lag behind the action.
• The other potential problem exposed by this issue is an assignment getting dropped
due to a misunderstanding. i.e. someone getting called-off when they shouldn't be.
If you think the call that came to your Personal-phone overlaps a volunteer's assignment, please
communicate with the assignee (by direct email or phone if possible) to verify that there is, or is not
an overlap. It's just less messy, and more friendly and collegial.
• If you get a swarm-report to your personal phone, it's yours to deal with as you like!
If you're overloaded, you can pass it on to a friend, or even post it to the swarm-list yourself.
If you DO post it publicly, PLEASE mimic the protocol of finding a taker and handing it off privately.
Does that work for everyone?

Of course you are welcomed. What time are you available in am? Do you need bees? Call or text me on my cell: 925-699-1626 and let’s do this together.
