Hello all,

We're sending this announcement through BOTH the
new     <swarm-list [at] alamedabees.org>
and the
old    ACBA SWARM LIST <acba-swarm-list [at] googlegroups.com>
That explains why you received two copies of this email. 
(If you did not receive one copy from swarm-list [at] alamedabees.org, please email Jerry gtp000000 [at] gmail.com)

With the transition, there are a couple of things to do:
• Please go into your Address Book(s)  for your email client or your personal ISP email interface,
and remove instances of acba-swarm-list [at] googlegroups.com
and replace them with swarm-list [at] alamedabees.org . 
That will reduce the instances of accidentally sending your posting to the wrong list.
This may also improve the odds for accidentally having swarm emails id'd as spam. (blessing them)

What changes? 
Other than the address, almost nothing will be different.  Just be attentive to the "To" field of your emails

• The new service mimics most of the behaviors of our old google group. 
• Your subscription to the acba-swarm-list has already been ported to swarm-list [at] alamedabees.org
If you received an email asking to confirm your membership in swarm-list [at] alamedabees.org , say "Yes".

PLEASE make a habit of looking at the "To"  line of your email to make sure it points to the right place.
The "CC" line of the header will contain the email address of the originator,
usually a volunteer with the first post in a thread.
By default your Reply to a Swarm Posting will be have swarm-list [at] alamedabees.org preloaded.
That's what most of us always do by default. (It's a good habit to always check the "To:" line anyway)

Our web-manager says arrangements will be made to have a READ-ONLY archive of swarm emails
where you can check on traffic.  https://lists.alamedabees.org/pipermail/swarm-list/
You won't be able to Reply to a swarm posting there, nor originate one.
